Terms and Conditions

Delivery will take place within the timescales outlined on the order acknowledgement which will vary according to the nature of the products offered by First Impressions Furniture. The delivery date quoted is estimation only and does not constitute a guarantee. This is only an estimate and time shall not be the essence of any order.  Every effort will be made to keep you informed of the progress of your order. In the event of a significant delay we will notify you of the timescale.

Goods will generally be delivered by a designated carrier who will contact you prior to delivery to make an appointment. Some small items may be delivered by post or by courier in these cases prior notice of delivery may not be possible.

Delivery will only be made to the delivery address specified on the original order. Deliver is to the door step unless otherwise specified. Where access from the public highway to the property is obscured or access is difficult the carrier must be advised of this when making an appointment for delivery. Where delivery to the room of choice applies moveable obstacles should be repositioned to ensure a clear passage way and the location where the items(s) are to be positioned must be clear of obstacles. The customer will be liable for any damages that may occur within their property.

Delivery will be deemed to have taken place when the goods have been delivered to the agreed address (First Impressions Furnituredoes not need to satisfy that the person accepting delivery at the agreed address is authorised by the customer to accept the goods). 

Delivery Charges

First Impressions Furniture delivery charges are kept to the minimum amount possible. This service is limited to delivering to the door step unless otherwise specified. Large items may be delivered to the room of choice this service applies mainly to large furniture items and is indicated at the time of ordering.

 

Failed Deliveries

Failed deliveries will result in the goods returned to the carrier’s delivery depot. Where failure is not the fault of First Impressions Furnitureor its chosen carrier, delivery charges will not be refunded. Customers then have the option to either collect the goods, or re-book a delivery. Please note, to re-book a delivery an additional £20 will be charged to the standard delivery charge to cover administration.

 

Assembly

If goods require some form of assemblyit is the customers’ responsibility to assemble the goods, and no liability can be accepted for errors or damages made in the assembly process. 


Returns

Should the buyer wish to return goods within 7 days of receipt then it is the customers duty of care to ensure the goods are kept in their original condition and returned in their original packaging to the designated carrier who delivered the goods (address will be provided on request) It is the customers responsibility to cover the cost of this return. Customers must email info@firstimpressionsfurniture.comnotifying us of an intention to return goods, and to obtain a returns number. This should be clearly displayed on the outer packaging so that it can be processed correctly when received into the warehouse. Refunds will be issued within 21 days of receipt and inspection of returned goods.


Faulty/Damaged Goods

Whilst every care is taken to avoid damaged and faulty goods it is inevitable that this will occur from time to time. First Impressions Furniture will endeavour to rectify the situation as soon as possible. Please notify us of any issues by email toinfo@firstimpressionsfurniture.comFirst Impressions Furniturewill email a returns label which the customer will be required to attach to the item(s). Our chosen carrier will then arrange to collect the goods from you, and replacement goods will be dispatched. In the event that alternative goods are not available a full refund will be issued.
